Heres a lil tip for squeezing more bandwith from your internet connection. It works for Windows 2000 and XP Pro. Vista, Idk. I'm not touching it.

Click on Start then on run. Type in gpedit.msc This opens the group policy oject editor for the computer. Follow the path as illustrated below.
Administrative templates > Network > QoS Packet Scheduler. double click on Limit Reservable Bandwidth then enable it and set it to 0. By default, in it's not configured state, it is holding back 20% of the speed of your connection. Part of the description is in the pic.
