Who is SPIKE, and which demo are you talking about? There is no demo of a new SLS game and the only one mentioned in this thread is the TH03 demo. You really should read the entire thread before posting, your answer might already be there......
If the TH03 demo is what you are after, do a google search and you will find several places to download it....

Well if they ever get around to making the game,  I just hope they would make a lot of data available like objects (trees-lots of different kinds) they have used in the past games, and sound emitters like in 2004, add the extra animals where you could add them in the editor if you wanted to.  Put in a few domestic ones that just feed and bob their heads and die if you shoot them, they wouldn't need so much animation or (AI) files for that.  that could go for ambient animal sitting in trees also (like crows, squirrels, etc....)  Not everyone is profiscient  with 3Dmax to make their own objects or recolors with PSP.  At least infogrames had a lot of objects and textures and ambient animals in their games (which never seemed to work  right all the time). wizard works never got around to making the deer look good, DH3gold was good for this, but you could at least change the attribute files, if you knew what you were doing! and it had a hell of a map editor. Too bad they didn't pass it over to Infogrames.  SLS already has most of this stuff, adding it to a new game would be nice to create a place like wherever you lived with a few new objects and textures to boot, I would pay $50 for a game that had the likes of being GREAT all around, but sounding great is not the same thing! Most people who like hunting games would definetly throw $50.00 toward a game, but the hunting community is small compared to W.O.W., Half Life, all the fighting games...etc...    So having a hunter sponser is ultimately imperative to keeping the deer hunter series going.  As of late everyone dropped the ball.  since the 1st DH game till now revenue has been around $70 million at $20 bucks a pop, SUNSTORM, INFOGRAMES, ATARI have been the 3 major distributors.  HOW BAD DO HUNTERS WANT A GAME , maybe a $20 dollar donation to the SLS sponsorship could get the game moving ahead,  how many people would throw away twenty dollars to get a game started? And who would take on this task of managing this.   OH WELL, it never hurt anyone to dream!                                        GAS 02/16/2008

and we can hunt those with dogs to on the game  and another thing that should be added to the game is that we can hunt with bowie knifes just in case a hog charges

Back in VT we used to shoot stray dogs and cats just because the wouldn't go home, they didn't have to be chasing a deer. I could not do that today, with a 300 weatherby magnum, it was like useing hand grenades on rabbits.

In my misguided past I've used a Grenade Launcher (M-79) on a pond full of Ducks.  Although, We were only able to eat three of them, it was still fun.

I loved the weapon customization in DH '05 I hope that makes a return. I would love to see some assualt rifles make it into this game and see some new weapon styles. I just want the whole customization thing to carry over.

Assault rifles? Tell me where (State)  you can hunt with and AR15? The only place, maybe, in the Military screwing off on some rifle range. Hopefully a deer would wonder into your line of fire.

Michigan, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Maine.... you get my point, its legal.

And yes you CAN and many DO hunt with assault rifles myself included. The AR-15 and AR-10 are both becoming more and more common for deer hunting both are very capable of being extremely precision instruments. Calbiers and effective ranges for the rifles tend to vary but I have seen a deer taken down instantly at 200 yards by a 70 grain .223 boat-tail hollow point that came out of a Rock River Arsenal AR-15. Due to the now wide array of calibers AR-15's and AR-10s are available in, and the incredible precision they offer in a Semi-automatic weapon while remaining relatively light even with bull barrels. They are becoming quite popular to hunt with.

Precision wise, Bull Barreled, scoped AR-10's chambered in .308 are used for 1000 yard competitions and hit accurately. The AR-15 and AR-10 is by no means a grunt weapon, it is a precision instrument in the right hands.

Don't you dare try to insult the .223 / 5.56 x 45mm round either calling it weak or under powered. This is a popular but totally false misconception.  A 5.56mm full metal jacket ball projectile that hits 2700 FPS which it will easily do out of a barrel that is at least 18 inches will cause a bigger and more serious wound than a .308 FMJ round. .223 hollow points due to their size also expand extremely rapidly opening a really massive wound cavity for the mass of the round that is only slightly smaller than that of a .308 but will still easily kill a deer pending shot placement. The 5.56 / .223 gets the job done in Iraq and it gets the job done hunting.

In the event you want to go bigger. There are many AR-15 variants chambered for larger calibers. The AR-10  being one which is chambered for a .308.

Chambered calibers include but are not limited to; .223, 5.45 x 39mm, 6.8 SPC, .458 SOCOM, .300 RSAUM, .204 Ruger, .308, .450 Bushmaster, ect.
