It's offtopic, but I don't understand that 'kind' of weird rule that made my entry not valid. I read rules a long time ago, when the site switched here, and that rule wasn't written.
You could at least say it on a topic or something elsewhere...and I see it comes up now. Weird, my score was even the biggest, and invalid cuz my weapon name is 'New Weapon 1'??? Bah... didn't know having a nonamed weapon was a cheat or against a rule..no comment.
looks like you want to make all my entries invalid lol...

DK, For the record, this was my call, my decision.
Now please allow let me explain.

As we all know, there is an individual in the community that has been making mods for some time now. With in some of his Mod's, he added weapons of greater power and what not. These weapons show up as New Weapon 1 when used. This is why we require you to name all your weapons. We have instituted certain safe guards to keep our hunts clean and free of these Mod's

-NO ONE IS ACCUSING ANYONE OF CHEATING-

We have to enforce the rules to keep everything equal across the boards, it applies to all, even me. 2 week ago, 1 of my entries where not allowed because of a rule infraction, lesson  learned on my part! Yes you had some excellent entries this week, but I am constantly responding to PM's & Emails about anything imaginable when it comes to these hunts. Re-loaders, multi-loaders, cheaters, why don't I ever win, and so on, it never ends.

I would advise all to review the rules every now & then. They do get updated as I learn more about this game & take input I receive from fellow hunters from this site & team speak.

I hope this sheds a little light on this subject.

Good Luck & Happy Hunting Smile

Thanks for the answer Ray.
Anyways...a rule like that should have been posted, or at least a post saying 'Rule is updated'. And even that, how to ge ta more powerful compound? Took me hours to run behind that 231, and seeing it end like this makes me a little annoyed... I don't even know about this kind of mod that adds more powerful weapons (I can't imagine how a compound bow can be powerized) since I am not even able to use google lol
Onliest time I get the biggest bucks since months I get disqualified for nothing, for a wep's name lol
I don't want to start arguments anyways. Gratz Vic for your win.
Well nevermind, good luck to all hunters for next hunts..

That rule was posted. In the center of the site, just below the forums, if you click on "Hagadoo.Com 2011 Deer Hunting Season", http://www.hagadoo.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=87  you will see at the top the review of the rules, which plainly says, they may have been updated over the year. This "Rule #13" was updated 2 years ago to be exact. The 2010 hunting season info had the same exact text.

An the answer to your question about more powerful weaponry, He has made them already, we find his weapons and Mod's every now & then in our weekly's, when found, the member is banned on the spot, no questions asked. One member was banned as recently as 3 months ago.

DK, I value your long term commitment to the site, and friendship we have shared over the years. But if I start to allow small infractions, then I have to allow it for everyone, then even more people will complain about rules violations & cheating, and so on. Some times the best lesson learned are the ones that hurt the most, and that 231 would qualify as a heart breaker.

I try to check out the site once or twice a day and I never saw or knew about this rule but then again I really wasn't looking for it.  Maybe a sticky or something about it would have alerted people but there are way to many things going on and some things get overlooked.  I do have a suggestion.  When ever a new hunt rule added, it could be put under the site rules for say a month or so.  It should be set up so that if the site rules are changed, then people have to reread the rules when they log onto the site.  Of course you can just click that you agree with them but  then if stuff like this happens in the future it will be no ones fault but that person.  Just my opinion.

This rule was addressed in a forum not too long ago. It was due to a hunter turning in his weekly entries with a new weapon 1 as the name. If I am wrong please correct me.
I have not had time to go back and look at prior posts.

Here is the discussion we had in September allowing an entry with weapon not named correctly

Listen, I not going to post a change log for everything I do here. Its bad enough that I only get less then an hour a day to hunt Sad I've created so many Staff positions to do all the jobs around here it makes my head spin. As much as I pissed off Mickey & Vic, and they came & left the site for long periods of time, they knew about it. Simple reading of posts & reviewing the content pages every now & then would avoid this, also being active in team speak helps a lot too.

LAZINESS IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR NOT KNOWING!

As Rez Has Stated he has created new staff positions to deal with the jobs on the site.

The weekly results been delegated to another staff member and his brief is to apply the rules as they are written.

As a result Rez himself had an entry dissallowed . We are still laughing about that. Laughing

In the past Rez did the results but it is now out of his hands... so no more soft touch.

There are a lot of mods and cheats that can change the game and the way it returns results.
Some of the rules to prevent that may seem annoying and inconsequential if you dont know what it is there for..but each and every rule targets an area of concern.
New rules may have to be added or old ones rewritten from time to time to keep our competitions clean.

At least we dont  require drug testing or breathalysing.

The new adjudicator has the support of the staff at hagadoo and his decision is final.

All rules will be applied as written.

Thats right guys. Keep your self updated on the rules constantly and read the forums. The staff here are doing a great job in running this site and trying to accomodate and keep every one happy.
Rez and the rest involved try to help every one but rules have to be set and followed.
