Hey hagadoo just wantd to express myself, and to you guys i am new.
My real life has alot to do about hunting but since i cant always be hunting
I turned to hunting games for Pc, and consoles. I tried the game Thehunter and having i played deer hunter series from part 3 i felt TheHunter is lacking realism or American way of hunting. Man, remember deer hunter 3 and 4 were we hunted seasons and watch our deer grow bigger?! How exciting. My point is i wanted to play deer hunter 2005 and make my own maps that look so goood. Thats why i am here. Ps oh i heard Thehunter doesnt give us the people climbing stands...lol.

we also use the Hybrid patch that you'll need to D/L to hunt the Hybrid maps. But the nice thing about the hybrid patch is it lets you add dh2004 models to your dh2005 maps.

Hi . welcome to hagadoo.
You can get a huge amount of info by looking through the old posts about mapmaking.
Click on the forum link above the posts and scroll down to the map making section.
One of the best threads to get you going is in that section, called Map making for dummies, by Magnum 1973.

But we will always be keen to help with advice and custom objects for specific map applications.

We have a strict set of rules relating to illegal patches and mods as we try to keep our site in line with the original game rules so our site records are not subject to pollution by hacks.

Our primary site rules are here
http://www.hagadoo.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=31

if you are using any operating system  other than XP then you will need to run your game as administrator and set your game to compatibility for windows xp service pack 3.
Right click on your start icon and select those options from the drop down menu.
I. run as administrator.

then
2. troubleshoot compatibility.

You will also need to download and install the official 1.2 patch.
If you have any download issues with the site contact me and I will give you alternative links.

There will be some issues with the Editor, as it was never very stable from day one, but we can advise you how to circumnavigate most of them.

Look forward to hearing more from you. The threads are where we discuss everything so no need to worry about using space.

Cheers.

I am also using win 10.
The game runs fine but the editor does some strange things.
However I have been building maps on win10 for about six months now and have managed to sort out most of the kinks.

I loved Deer Hunter 3 and 4.  They seemed so much more realistic as far as deer behavior and hunting was concerned.

You will find some of the best maps there are for DH2005 here, they really have some good ones.

All the hunting games feels like playing at an arcade, they pre set the stand towers, mark the deer on the GPS, tell you, you need to shoot 4 deer in one hunt.
