Been kind of on a nostalgia kick lately.  Found and installed In Fisherman Freshwater Trophies, Bird Hunter Wild wings, Hunting Unlimited 3 and have been playing them some.

Also tried to install Trophy Hunter 2003 and Trophy Bass 4, and Deer Hunter 4, but they just aren't agreeable with the laptop I'm stuck with at the moment.

What do you still play these days?

I got Windows 7.  I can run DH2005 pretty good, though can't remember if I had to use compatability mode or not.

I seem to remember a post saying something about running as administrator and changing compatibility.

I dont play Dh 2005 a lot but I still make maps. By the time I make the map and check it out a hundred times during the course of building it I have usually seen enough of it.
But I play "the Hunter" now and then and spend a lot of time with its  step child," theHunter Primal"

I have all the deer hunter seriws, 1 to 4 but never got DH5.
I have  Dh2003, 4 and 5 as well as Trophy hunter  and Bird hunter2003.
I run win 10 now .
You need to run those games as administrater and also  run them in compatibility mode for win xp on any operating system from Vista onwards.

Right click on you desktop Icon and choose Run as Administrater.
Then right click the icon again and choose " troubleshoot compatibility"
Same applies if you use the Editors to make maps.
That should sort out most of the glitches.

My favorite overall would have to be DH2005 in terms of hunting games, but I loved Bird Hunter Waterfowl Edition and Wildwings.

All American Trophy Bass 2 by Sierra was great fun, and so was Rocky Mountain Trophy Hunter (the 1st One) I remember the audio/sounds of these games would make me feel like I was in the woods with my family, when we couldn't go hunting and fishing, I remember my nephews and I would wake up early open the windows to let the cold air in, and play these games as if we were there!! And I still play these from time to time.

Quite funnely I have no Issues with these games on Windows 8.1 (I will never upgrade to 10, Spying Microsoft can go away)

Other old(ish) Games would have to be SimCity 2000, Age of Empires, and Splinter Cell.

New Games....I absolutely loved Watch_Dogs!!!!!!! and World of Tanks, I have played theHunter several times but I gave up because I never saw anything, at all!

Side note I found this at a Goodwill for .99cents, a boxed copy of Deer Hunter (the 1st one), it still has the Registration Card in it!
