Well, I'm back from the humid swamp/forest of NW Arkansas. We kept the loins and 15 pounds of sausage. The rest was approved by a local ag inspector and then donated to a food bank.
I'm having the skull cleaned and mounted.

We had a 400 lb spring scale on the block and tackle that we used to load the hog onto the truck and it sprung.

You'll notice the dog carrier on the truck; we let the dogs (dawgs!) find him; when we saw the light reflecting on the tusks, the animals were recalled and my .45-90 and a 500gn Hornady did the rest.
