After reading your post, I crawled for about 20 minutes and after that I saw another buck, a very small buck.
I was so excited that I missed him and I lost his tracks... Laughing
Thank you for the tip!

DK, A trick I have been using with some success is this. Run down any road until you hear a buck or doe call. Stop & immediately return with 3 complete bleats form the deer bleater(Ha ha) From there go into the prone and get set up looking to the direction the call came from. Try to position yourself up on a tree root or rock as to get a better view. Call again & wait for a return. Now comes the waiting game. Usually, the deer will come look for you (or caller that is) Keep your eyes peeled, & ears open. 50% of the time the deer will sneak up on you making it hard for you to move & get the shot (Ha ha) the other times, you will see it coming. The big thing is PATIENCE! The waiting game can become long at times & boring (Just like in real life) but I would say after 15 minutes of waiting & no deer, I would move on, crouching that is! The Hunter is all about patience & time. There is no quick hunt that I found. Also don't rush the shot. Wait until its perfect, or you might spend another hour looking for it LOL!!! Today I bagged 2 bucks using your tips! One is a 17 2/8 and the other is a 40 5/8.
Maybe today I'll bag my first nice buck!

Good Job on the bucks! Who cares if there small. Its better to learn the weapon & deer on the smaller ones, then to find a truly big monster & miss. Keep hunting & getting deeper into the woods to find the bigger deer. Practice your stalking & tracking skills while doing so. Mickey told me the other night if you see a doe, don't shoot it. He said that there's usually a buck following it somewhere behind it. Good luck Smile

I agree with you. When I hunt in this game I shoot everything I see only for the skill points. But from today I promise that I won't touch any doe! Very Happy
It would be nice if in the scoresheet you can see your buck pic...
But at least now I am in the top 100! Very Happy

GJ DK.  I am glad you guys are having fun with the game.  Personally I just can't get into it.  I tried to play it the other day and just got annoyed.  It has nothing to do with finding animals, it is just not fun to me.

I found the game annoying too a few weeks ago. But after I started bagging a few nice bucks, after I discovered some new tips I started to like it. But not like DH2005 that's sure. DH2005 for now is still the best game.
