About the time that the last hunting competitions ended it was mentioned that there could be a map making competition about the same time as our next Top Gun Hunt.

I would like to see us getting this organised so the map makers know what the requirements are going to be and how we are going to judge the results.

Myself I would be a competitor and so not included in the judging panel, but would be keen to help with the organisation of the event should it be  instituted.

Can we get some input on this and get it underway. Map makers are going to need to know if it will be species specific or if season and locale will be included in the specifications for the entries, when entries have to be in by and where they are to be sent etc etc.

If we are going to do this we should be making a start very soon.

Here is my idea-just to put it out here as a suggestion.
-Entries submitted as they normally would be for site upload.
-No restrictions; map makers are free to create and submit the work they feel is their best.
-No judging panel.  The hagadoo community will have, say, 1 week to score all the entries based on creativity, enjoyment to play, or something along those lines.  Anyone can vote but you can't give your own map a score; you can only vote on other maps.
Again, these are just my ideas; I have never been in a map competition before so maybe these are not good ideas or they could use improvement.  >.<

Thoughts, suggestions anyone?
