This is quite a fine hunting game with lots of Animals & Reserves to hunt them on.
From the beginning of the game there has been an ongoing process of development trying to keep in touch with the players whims. There are plenty of weapons and equipment to satisfy almost any hunter.
There is single-player, multi-player online game playing that even have competition hunts.
The graphics of the game are pretty good and recommended use of at least a middle to high performance computer is needed.
Though some of the A.I. (artificial intelligence) of the animals could be more investigated, most are close to their responses.
There is a free version to play the game and limited resources to use, this is like a demo, to let you get the feel of the game. However, if you become a member you have the option of buying all resources or earning some through missions. I only started playing the game again this spring, and have put more money into it than any other game I have ever played. I would like to see theHunter prices come down substantially so it would be more affordable for everybody to play. The price of some guns are $5.oo - $10.oo U.S. currency. as with other weapons and equipment.
There are different membership costs for the amount of time bought. Once you buy the guns & equipment they are yours. So when your renewal membership comes up you will only have to pay for licenses & Time.
The missions can be reset for an additional fee. I'm just wondering now how I can come up with the renewal fee this August when my membership runs out? I am mostly outdoors in the summer and more active on the computer when the snow flies so I may just renew for the late fall to spring months.
But I am hooked on the game for now still looking for the big trophies, even if it is not the most correct gameplay in a hunting game it is the only hunting game for the computer worth playing at this time. I give it a thumbs up ;)
BTW..... Deer Hunter 2005, is 1 of my Older favorite games ever made with a map editor

Although I do wish the prices would come down($5 for a gun is CRAZY(for a video game:P)) It sorta helps the realism you know? Hunting is NOT a cheap hobby. After buying a license you need to renew every year, which costs $50(much like theHunter ) you must then buy the guns which cost 200-2000 dollars each, and are a pain in the ass in Canada(easier in America I believe) to buy. And then you got like 2000 dollars worth of equipment afterwards, then you head out into the field, only realizing you need more stuff
