sorry for this.  i forgot to mention that when the lite blue sky comes on the screen, the little map is also showing in the top left corner. also, before starting  new maps, i would delete the old custom map from the Atari folder on the "C" DRIVE       PAPPY

If you have a light blue screen and the navigation map is in its correct place  you are in the editor But you are either above or below the map.
Hit the space bar to enter navigation mode then move your mouse around and look up and down and sideways to find the map.
If that dosnt work  drag your red arrow to the centre of the navigation map .. enter navigation mode. ..(space bar). and then press the home button on your computer keyboard and move the mouse around again.

What I believe has happened is that when you set the terrain and clicked appy the terain uplifted the map level and left you stranded under the map surface. this will happen if the world height is set to a high value.
Sort of .. Lost In Spaaace.
The home button should return you to Earth again.
Let us know if it works.

hello all...tried all the above and nothing seemed to help.  i did a fresh "clean  raw install" on my computor. i re-installed all my programs and drivers. loaded all the DH2005 programs and all seems to be working GREAT!  what is strange that before i did the raw install, my computor was "acting funny" and not working proper. when i had the problem, i had un-installed the DH2005 and all the contents and re-installed it all again, the same problem  with the "blue sky" showing even at the start of a new map!!  oh well there must have been a  gremlin  in my system. all is well again    txs for your help
