hello to all    i down-loaded the  DH2005 Map Editor. when it was finished down-loading, a message came up saying "DH2005 Map Editor_Final...zip is not commonly down-loaded and could be dangerous" and a "discard" button was showing. i discarded the down-load and tried the down-load again. the same thing happened. i tried the down-load again just before i wrote this post to double-check. the same thing happened! the down-loads were all from Hagadoo. any ideas what is wrong. i have down-loaded the editor many times along with many maps and this is the first time that there has been a problem

hi Jimbo...no, i have had no changes to my system or programs for awhile. i used the same editor down-load  (it was saved on my pooter) that i have used on numerous occasions. the editor, and patch,  i am useing, was down-loaded from Hagadoo a long time back. i only re-down-loaded this time from Hagadoo is because i had so much trouble with setting the lite system on my custom map. i figured i would down-load a new patch and editor from Hagadoo and re-load the new down-loads and DH2005 onto my pooter. first time i have ever had a problem "pop-up" with a down-load from the site

If you downloaded it from this site, it is safe. If you got it from somewhere else, I can't say.

It sounds like your antivirus is paranoid.
It may mean your warning levels are set to low in your Anti virus or Firewall..

Some times settings get changed with updates that reset some of your custom settings to default.

You will often get warnings about certain types of files, particularly exe's because they are often used by hackers to transmit viruses. Ie.. this type of file could be dangerous..not that that particular file is dangerous.

The bottom line is ...Could be dangerous.... the best way to check if you have a problem is to right click on the download and scan with your anti virus program.. in my case Microsoft Security Essentials.. Then if a real threat is present delete the file.
In most cases the virus can not activate unless the EXE is run and your antivirus should block any known virus from running on your computer anyway.
It will sent it into isolation/virus locker and your anti virus program should advise you what action to take.( options)

Problem solved!! i printed the report out when i got that "warning" i had re-installed Google Chrome quite awhile back. apparantly "Google Chrome" has a phishing and malware detection program installed in it. i re-did the settings as per the warning report. i down-loaded the "map editor" again from Hagadoo, every-thing worked 100%  happy  happy happy    tks for the help
