I just receive message that our long time friend and Staff member, TK Sniper passed away. For those of you who did not know it, TK was battling stage 4 prostrate cancer. Over the last year and a half to two years, I kept in regular contact with him. I knew he was progressively getting worse, but always maintained a positive & uplifting attitude. TK was a strong member with in our online hunting community. I turned to him a lot of times for advice while running this site and other matters, TK was always a friend, and friendly to me, even during some rough times. Minus a few other people I've met over the years, I can not name too many others with more knowledge of the deer hunting series and computer problems then him. I will sorely miss him and our community has lost a true friend.
Rest in Peace my friend, I will miss You. |

Although I have not been around long here on these forums and am fairly new to DH2005, I did have a chance to talk back and forth with TK after I stumbled across the BigGameLodge website. He was the first person to take the time to respond and help out a noobie. He seemed like a very generous person and used some of his precious time to send a stranger some custom models and answer some simple mapping questions I had. I know that he was a big part of the DH community and it is truly sad to lose such a kind person. May he rest in peace. |

Its sad to hear a friend like TK sniper has left us I've known Tk for 10 years. The last time I had talked with him he said he would be lucky to live another year. I know he will be missed in many ways by friends and by all who play dh 2005. He had a sense of humor that I will miss, he also was always ready to help and he was willing to ask for help if he needed it. I tip my hat and raise my rifle 1 last shot for a friend RIP TK |

Farewell to TK.
Since the earliest days that I have been involved with Simulated hunting and map making his name was always there, and his comments and advice always useful and to the point.
To not have his presence on the many forums he visited and contributed to, will be an immeasurable loss to our community.
My heartfelt condolences to all his family and his many close friends.

I didn't think it was possible to get choked up over the death of someone you never met. I guess that's because meant so much to the online world and hunting community. The first time I asked a map question at BGL, Tk was the one to respond. If it had been anyone else answering with a snippy answer, I think I would have just said the heck with the game and moved on. Who know's? This site might not have even been here without him answering that first question. He personally helped me with moving and adding a lot of content when we moved the site to a different server. Without his help, we never would got the place running.
I can honestly say that I have never corresponded thru more pm's or email with any other person on the internet. It seemed like he never slept. You could send a pm or make a post and there was TK answering it.
In these last two years while he was go through this difficult time, he chose to try to get BGL up and running again. Most of the "healthy" people seemed to give up on that site but here was TK fixing the site, when he should have been focused on his battle with the cancer. That just goes to show you the dedication he had to the community. Whether you knew him or not you should just take a moment to appreciate what he has done for us all.
I hope he is in a better place and at peace.(hopefully with a mic that works.)
You will be missed my FRIEND. Thanks for everything. |

So sorry to hear about TK. He was always there to help whenever you needed an answer to a gaming problem or just a computer problem in general. I think that everybody in the online hunting community knew him (how could they not, he was the guy that was answering all of your questions- and a helluvalot of them mine) . You will be missed by us all. |

Many times I've heard it said that when someone passes, they'll be hard to replace. TK will be impossible to replace. He's been around for a decade that I know of; always the first to help with any kind of computer or DH 2005 problem, always right!
I was shocked to hear that we lost him.... I never met him personally, but I feel a deep sense of loss at his passing. There are lots of folks that don't understand how one can care about someone they've never met, but this community knows all to well the pain of the loss of someone with whom we have hunted with, shared time and laughs with, but never seen face to face. Even though most of us have never been in the same room at the same time, we tend to be close to our friends online; some more than relatives. This is the regard the DH 2005 community has for TK Sniper....a dear friend, whose passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all of us who knew him.
May you rest in the hands of God til we meet again, TK....momom

Good morning all. As I was looking through some post on BGL I found some infor for here. I decided to check it out as i have not been here in years. I wanted to put some info into this thread as TK was a close friend of mine and a valued Staff Member at BGL. We brought him on about a year after forming BGL. We were just getting big and had regular tourneys. After 1 or two tournesy I asked TK to come up with a standard. He not only came up with a standard, but also checked out each image and found many cheaters. It was so funny to see him in action. He would get on TS and say check your email at which time he would have sent me an image and would explain why it was not real. He knew the game. When we were doing testing on DH2005 and on, TK was right there talking to the programers about why this should be different or that should be changed. He also set the standard at the height of BGL with map testing. He had it down pat and would test every map that came in. If there was a problem he would let the person know what the problem was and how to fix it. If they could not fix it, he would have them send all the map files and he would do it himself.
TK was dedicated to this game series and it is sad that it went down hill. He loved what he did and as a staff member put a lot of information and great contributions to the success of BGL. AT one point (This is not a bragging thing, but showing his success) BGL had over 1 million hits a month and I really feel that it was due to TK and how he interacted with everyone. I wish that we had not lost the database last year so I would have the thousands of post he made to look at.
TK will be missed badly. I talked to his sister and she thinks that he died of a heart attack. He was getting better with the cancer. It is sad, but we have the memories to remember him by. Thanks for letting me post. |
