To all the mapmakers out there: I thinks its great when there are other animals other than deer on the custom maps.  It gives me a great way to pass the time and hone my primitive weapons skills (bows mainly).  I even go so far as to see how many of each critter I can bag each time I hunt.  I haven't ventured into map making yet but rest assured when I do I will put every possible critter on the map I possibly can.    Just sayin...keep up the great map work everyone!!

this is the list of the critters all but the hawks and eagles and osprey can be taken without penalty and can be placed on the map by putting a check mark in the selection box

I have never tried to put all of them in a map, but have had a great competition once with another player shooting trout in a stream
great fun , the fish float to the top and the arrow is shown when taken with a bow.

A project for Dantheman would be to make a map with all selected......to test out Very Happy

LOL,Excellent question. In all these years hunting the game, I don't think I ever seen one! LRH, try shooting an in flight bird, duck or goose with the bow, that's a challenge!

A Taxideau Taxis is a badger. Very Happy
There are two sorts of badger in the editor, one is the European and the other is the North American.
Some slight differences in markings.

one might think that adding all the critters available the map would be over run with them, but not so they appear to be just as spread out as if you only add a few. I don't know maybe there is a set amount of animals per map and each becomes smaller #'s the more you add. Not sure though.

I have never counted critters but I often count deer numbers and the deer numbers remain somewhere the same no matter how many different critters you activate.

The Idea that adding more critters cuts down deer numbers does not appear to be true. Rolling Eyes

Maybe I should go load The Pipeline with all available critters and then count heads. Idea
