You have a virus that is the cause of your problem Exclamation

Have you ran across this before & do you know how to get rid off it??
I run scans regularly & nothing shows up.
I use AVG & Iobit Malware Fighter.
I also have Iobit Advanced System care & it scans for malware also.
Besides,if it were a virus why would it affect only 1 game & not the other games or anything else?

Have you heard or know about Ghost Files on your hard drive. They can contain a virus that can not be removed
by reformatting or reinstalling a program, and yes there are viruses out there that will only affect certain programs.
Dave

The ghost files are usually detected in backups as virus. Not every AV can detect them there. However, there are some that can. I believe ESET can. I could be wrong. ESET is one of the best AV apps.

Mr Mule.. If there was no folders created by your install disk, that is definitely part of the problem. If the disk isn't bad, there is a possibility the CD/DVD drive could be crapping out. That won't always report an error. I had to replace mine a few months ago because I discovered mine that pre-dates win 7 wasn't playing nice with the OS.

One other thing to consider... Not all websites allow DL managers. Firefox does support pause and stop on DLs. It's the next best thing to a DL manager. I have stopped using IE. They haven't made it stable for Win 7. Thing crashes often with more than 4 tabs open.

_EDIT_

I would like to see the report located in the folder shown in the pic U posted. The answer may be there.

The install created files & I tried again the other day & it ran once then wouldn't load again.

I think I might know what the problem is but I don't know how to fix it.
A while back I was bored & tried opening a TH 03 custom map that I had started using the DH 04 editor just to see what would happen.  Rolling Eyes
It opened briefly then it crashed. Since I used the DH 04 editor the DH 04 game wasn't affected but the TH 03 was.
I think by doing that I messed up a file association but I don't know what file, if I knew what file I could probably fix it by the properties menu or the folder options in the control panel.
I didn't have problems right away but it wasn't long after when I did.

I had forgotten that I had done this until a lil while ago.

As far as the error report goes,I can't find the file in the folder that was specified in the pic in my original post.
I even used the find files option.
