I want to transfer content from my DVR to my PC. I'm almost pulling my hair out trying to figure it out.
I know I can put an external HDD on it, but if I did, I still don't know if the DVR will record to it. I tried connecting my router to it. That idea didn't work. The next thing I'm going to try is the USB port, but I don't have a HUB yet. That's on it's way next week.
Anybody know how this is done or if it can be done Question  I have been searching for hours for a way to do this.  Confused

Did you try google and put how to transfer content from dvr to pc. you should get a good number of hits on that.  I know some are simple just have to use certain programs to do it.  Also try by the type of dvr you have might help, Wish I knew more about it but I dont hope its some help.

I did google it. What I came up with didn't help much. The forums at videohelp.com  didn't have much. The owner manual for the DVR says something like "don't connect any networked device to the unit without contacting the ISP/cable service because software may be required to access the DVR interface. There is no "May be" about it.  Rolling Eyes
