I run a 1GB GPU on a 600W PSU with 2 power plugs. That is the recommended minimum for a fully configured Dual Core PC, although some GPUs require more power. 500W will work if the PC is not loaded down with PCI devices. Your PSU won't handle much of anything. If you have the funds, 500 to 600W PSUs are $60 or less.

I have a spare PSU. I think it's a 550W. I'll give it away.

LMK if you want it. I'll send it out ASAP.

_EDIT_

I should have read your post more carefully. The international shipping rates for something of that weight is a bit steep.  Sad

That looks somewhat promising. I watched a couple of the animation videos. The game has the same problem Trophy Hunter 03 had before the patch is applied. Stuttering animal movement. Shadow rendering is good.  Smile

I have another problem. I got my BD burner working, but if I copy the contents of a burned BD back to my HDD, the file size on the folder shows 10.6 GB. The problem is the image file it contains was 23GB before it was burned. Does anybody have a solution to this problem. Is it a Windows support glitch or what? :?

My search on the ASUS forums for this issue is getting frustrating.  Rolling Eyes

You will save yourself a lot of frustration if you follow Magnum's advice. Anything can and probably will happen that breaks your map. It's possible to fix a broken map, but it can get very time consuming.

I gave up my quest for Blu ray playback for now. My GPU doesn't support it. The GTX 260 does support it. The only problem I had when deciding what GPU to get almost 3 yrs ago was the PSU requirement. That upgrade ran more than what I could afford at the time.  Rolling Eyes

I have been researching this a bit. I DLed an app that tests the system for compatibility playing Blu-ray disks. It came back with results saying my monitor is not HDCP compliant. I double checked this and found it is compliant. I think it may depend on how the monitor is connected to the PC.
The monitor is connected DVI to the GPU DVI.

The GPU is too old to have a HDMI connection. This is my GPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130514R  The specs say it is also compliant.

ASUS VW246H Monitor.

My LCD TV is connected to my PC by a DVI to HDMI cable.

I found a free app last night ImgBurn. It worked. I think I will try Ashampoo. I used it before. Thx Rick  Smile

So, I get a BD movie in my hands just to find out my grfx system is too old to support 3D. Oh well, the main purpose I got the burner for is to reduce the number of disks sitting on shelfs.

Hey guys and gals....

I have a mind boggling question about burning a Blu ray disk. The software that came with the burner keeps giving an error saying "This disk is not appendable for Power2Go, please erase it first." The included software from CyberLink. I have erased the disk and formatted it several times. It's a reusable disk, and only a 2X speed. I know this disk will write painfully slow, but that is the least of my worries at the moment. I can get faster disks later.

I have tried adding files to the disk in ISO, and bin format, and just dropping a folder of audio files in it before starting the burn. Neither way is working. I would greatly appreciate any help. I have a large collection of DVDs that can be condensed to far fewer disks if I can get it working like it should.  Confused

I can't wait to get a movie on BD to see how much better the video and sound quality are.  Very Happy

FYI, next to a woman, the SLS editor is the most unstable thing on the planet.  I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, save your map often.  I would even make a copy of it now and then and save it on the desktop.  This way if you mess up or if you can't open the map, you will have a copy to go back to.

The wind sock is the wind meter just as in real life. Blue is slow wind, pink is faster wind. The animated trees move more when the sock is pink.

Almost any compression application can open files made by other compression apps. It's just a matter of setting the properties of the application to associate itself with the various compressed file formats.
